Karthikeyan Avast Hello Stefanos, I regret for the inconvenience caused. We have already escalated this to the developer team and they are working on a permanent fix. This online shield issue will be resolved very soon. You can disable the https scan from the online shield settings and that should allow the web pages to load properly in your computer.
Once that happens, entering a URL in the address bar produce no response whatsoever. Once this starts, I have to restart the computer to download any website at all for a while, then it gets worse the longer I use the browser, until I have to restart the PC again. This happens in both Firefox and Chrome: when it starts happening in one, it happens immediately in the other.
Here are a couple of screenshots: one with AVG Online Shield On photos and ad don't display, and the blue downloading circle in the browser tab rotates forever and one with Online Shield switched Off website with all photos loads fine and very quickly. This problem by AVG has probably cost me around 4 days or so over the last few weeks in total it has hampered my ability to get on with work and study that much in addition to the time spent attempting to resolve it. Made no difference to me like it made no difference to the person to whom it was suggested. I'll be partway through watching course videos and they just stop, or other things don't load. I tried to download the Zoom video app to my laptop which has Windows 10 and Office but the download is blocked by s-mode. Is there a one there? Is there any plan to add it as a lot of friends relatives and businesses are using it to keep in touch during the current lockdown. I have it on my phone but would like to get it onto the laptop. I have found a list of downloads elsewhere - but I really feel uncomfortable deleting all these downloads. There a LOT of them. How do I know what is needed and not? And when you further say ' allow the same folder from Windows Security', are you saying to copy and paste? I have found pages that show adding and deleting application thru the Windows Defender firewall. But apparently one is only allowed to add applications from a browzable list.
Zoom is NOT on this browzeable list. I cannot follow your instructions. I am going to try to open the https: links provided to see what they do. To summarize, nothing I've gotten so far from two independent advisors from MS community have been any help. Staples tech dep't was no help 24MAY - they sold the laptop, but they said they couldn't figure out why we couldn't shut off Windows 10 Defender temporarily to download Zoominstaller.

I would like to download Zoom onto this Lenovo IdeaPad bought at staple store. Windows Defender 10 blocks ALL downloads "… has a virus and was deleted MS chat was not helpful. In reply to Paul Abayon's post on May 25, So I cannot proceed. As a customer like you, I understand. The download folder is the default folder in your File Explorer, which you will find your zoominstaller. Nevertheless, those 2 links I previously sent are the steps on how to exclude the said folder.
